This update compares MLS sales for the 12 months to October 31, 2026 against the 12 months prior. HPI (Home Price Index) benchmark prices show the year-over-year price trend.
Highlights
- Across Niagara, sales are down 3.5% (6,063 vs. 6,281) and the HPI price is down 3.79%, from $588,400 to $566,100.
- Niagara-on-the-Lake had the biggest jump in sales, up 28.0%, with an HPI price of $843,600. Fort Erie was the only other area with more sales, up 0.3%.
- Grimsby (down 21.5%), Fonthill/Pelham (down 18.4%) and Port Colborne/Wainfleet (down 15.8%) had the largest drops in sales.
- Thorold (down 8.54%) and Lincoln (down 8.44%) had the largest price declines.
- West Lincoln was the only area where the HPI price rose, up 1.46% to $665,300.
